Signing of the Memorandum with the Ministry of National Unity: Ukraine needs the experience of its citizens abroad

On the hundredth day since the creation of the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshov met with the team of the Association of Innovative and Digital Education, which introduced the Network of Ukrainian Educational Hubs.

The main topic of discussion was national identity, the state's connection with Ukrainians abroad and ways to attract their experience for the development of the country, as well as the answer to the question of how not to lose the generation of Ukrainians who left for other countries because of the war.

"The issue of national identity is extremely important in the current conditions. We must unite Ukrainians around common values, prevent a gap between those who stayed and those who were forced to leave. It is the constant communication of the authorities with civil society that should become the basis for achieving this goal," - said Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov.    

In turn, the Association for Innovative and Digital Education proposed specific steps to keep Ukrainians abroad "in touch" with Ukraine, applying the experience they gain in different countries for the development of Ukraine.

"From the very beginning of the full-scale war, we launched Ukrainian Educational Hubs around the world, primarily in countries with the largest Ukrainian populations. Over the years, more than 500,000 Ukrainians in 20 countries have already visited our Hubs. We ensure continuous education of Ukrainians abroad, conduct cultural diplomacy events that help shape Ukraine's positive reputation in the world, and help Ukrainians be proud of their country," -said Dmytro Bondarenko, Deputy Chairman of the Association for Innovative and Digital Education.

The meeting resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine and the Association of Innovative and Digital Education. The document provides for the creation of an effective mechanism for representing the interests of Ukrainian communities abroad, preserving national identity, supporting their interaction with Ukraine, and developing the human capital of the state.
