The “UA NEXT” Project: New Opportunities for Ukrainians in Germany to Become Leaders of Change

The Association of Innovative and Digital Education (AIDE) is announcing recruitment for the “UA NEXT” project — a comprehensive educational and communication initiative aimed at building an active, united, and influential Ukrainian community in Germany.

In today’s world, Ukrainians abroad play an extremely important role — not only as bearers of culture and identity, but also as active participants in the social life of their host countries.

That is why the “UA NEXT” project was created for those who want to be heard, influence processes, represent the interests of Ukrainians, and shape a positive image of Ukraine on the international stage.

Project Goal

The main goal of “UA NEXT” is to prepare co-creators of unity within the Ukrainian community who can effectively collaborate with one another, establish partnerships with local institutions, and promote the integration of Ukrainians into German society without losing their national identity.

Who is this project for

Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and older who reside in Germany and:

have an active civic stance;
possess or aspire to develop leadership qualities;
have basic communication skills;
are interested in supporting and developing the Ukrainian community are invited to participate.

The project is aimed at both those who already have experience in civic engagement and those who are just looking to get involved in active work.

What Participants Will Gain

Project participants will undergo an intensive training program that combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

Specifically, the program includes:

training in advocacy and representing community interests;
an introduction to public diplomacy tools;
development of communication skills with government agencies, the media, and the public;
work on real-life cases reflecting the current challenges faced by Ukrainians in Germany;
preparation for public speaking and participation in public dialogue;
involvement in the development and implementation of educational, social, and cultural initiatives.

A unique value of the project is the opportunity to join the “UA NEXT” community—a network of active Ukrainians who interact, exchange experiences, and carry out joint projects.

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

effectively represent the interests of the Ukrainian community at the local level;
engage in constructive dialogue with government officials and local communities;
initiate and implement their own projects;
unite Ukrainians around important social and cultural initiatives;
strengthen Ukraine’s presence on the international stage.

Format and Duration of Training

The program lasts 6 weeks and includes:

15 webinars;
online lectures;
interactive workshops;
practical assignments and case studies.

This format allows participants to combine training with work or studies, as well as immediately apply the knowledge gained in practice.

participation in the project is free of charge;
the number of spots is limited;
selection is conducted on a competitive basis.
