Free online course “Introducing media literacy into education”

We invite educators and anyone interested to take a free online course, “Introducing Media Literacy into Education,” created for teachers who want to integrate media literacy principles into the learning process and develop critical thinking skills in students.

The modern information environment requires special attention, as information can be both a tool for development and a means of manipulation. Social networks, memes, and news headlines are often the main sources of information for children. The task of the modern teacher is to teach students to navigate the flow of messages, distinguish between reliable facts, and understand the mechanisms of information influence.

Key benefits of the course:

introduction to practical tools for recognizing fakes and manipulation;
mastering methods for verifying textual and visual information;
exercises in analyzing speeches, memes, fake photos, and news stories;
