In September 2024, a unique project was launched: a mobile kindergarten, created on the initiative of Fun Academy.
The first mobile early development center is a special bus equipped with everything necessary for classes with preschool children. The mobile kindergarten is equipped for quick evacuation in case of danger, and will also serve as a training center for Ukrainian educators.
A bus-kindergarten arrived from Finland to the Kherson region to provide psychosocial support to children affected by the war. This gift, made by Finland's largest bus operator, was transformed into a mobile educational center thanks to cooperation with 30 companies and international organizations.
The project aims to provide a safe environment for learning and play to children who have experienced traumatic conditions.
"Carrying joy" is how one child described the mission of this bus, which is a symbol of support and hope for war victims. A partnership of 30 Finnish companies joined forces to create a mobile education center capable of moving even in conflict zones.
This is a pilot project that not only complements the destroyed system of early education in Ukraine, but also provides critically important psychosocial assistance. As part of the "Fun Academy on Wheels" project, such mobile kindergartens are planned to be delivered to other regions of Ukraine in the near future. The project became a reality thanks to the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland, the Ukrainian Council on Education, UIRO and the Association for Innovative and Digital Education (AIDE).
