Ukrainian youth in Poland learned to tell their story to the world

From October to December 2023, the Ukrainian Educational Hub in Warsaw, with the support of UNHCR, held a training course for teenagers "Migrating Stories. How to tell your story to the world".  Participants acquired video and photo editing skills and learned to tell their unique story.

The course was attended by young people aged 15 to 20 who temporarily reside in Poland.

During the weekends: On 18-19 and 25-26 November, 2-3 and 9 December 2023, various classes were held: brainstorming and creating an "inspiration map", storytelling and promoting your own content on social media around the world, a masterclass in photography and video, lighting and sound, processing and editing.

After each meeting, participants were given a small homework assignment that could be completed using a smartphone or camera.

At the end of the workshops, an exhibition was created at the Education Hub, where everyone was able to present their work.

On 14 December 2023, the final event took place at the Ukrainian Education Hub in Warsaw. Its teacher, professional journalist and photojournalist Yulia Shablovska, welcomed 25 participants. Photo and video works of creative youth were shown.
